Czechia showcased its all-season tourism appeal in Oman through a dynamic roadshow held in Muscat, aiming to attract Arab travellers from the Gulf region. Organized by the Czech Tourism Authority in collaboration with Czech embassies in Qatar and Kuwait and supported by regional airlines, the event highlighted Czechia’s diverse offerings—from medieval castles and Unesco-listed towns to 40,000km of hiking trails, wellness retreats, and culinary delights. Attended by over 150 travel professionals, the Muscat showcase was part of a broader GCC initiative to position Czechia as a premier European destination with year-round attractions and seamless visa access for GCC residents.

Czechia Showcases All-Season Travel Appeal to Gulf Visitors at Muscat Tourism Roadshow

In a strategic push to attract more Arab travellers, CzechTourism, in cooperation with Czech embassies in Qatar and Kuwait and supported by regional airlines, hosted a dedicated tourism roadshow in Muscat on Thursday. The initiative aimed to position Czechia as a premier destination for visitors from the Gulf region.

Part of the wider #VisitCzechia promotional drive, the one-day Muscat event spotlighted Czechia’s diverse appeal—from its centuries-old heritage and culinary richness to its leisure, wellness, and cultural offerings. Seven prominent Czech travel and hospitality companies participated, including hotels, resorts, destination management companies, and medical tourism providers.

This showcase formed one leg of a three-city tour that also included stops in Doha and Kuwait City, collectively drawing more than 150 key figures from the regional travel and tourism sectors.

Tourism in Czechia has seen robust recovery post-pandemic, with over twenty-two million international arrivals recorded in 2024. The country’s extensive tourism offerings range from exploring its 40,000 kilometres of marked hiking trails to discovering fairy-tale castles, Unesco-listed towns, tranquil lakes, and world-famous breweries—making it a destination for all seasons.

Visa applications for Czechia can be submitted in Riyadh, with processing times typically around 15 days, making it accessible for GCC travellers planning their European escape.
