Dubai To Danang Direct Flights Set To Turbocharge Vietnam’s Golfing Appeal On The Global Stage

Emirates launches direct Dubai to Danang flights from June 2, unlocking Vietnam’s golf tourism boom and boosting Central Vietnam’s global travel links.

Vietnam’s premier golfing destination is stepping onto the global stage in a major way, thanks to the introduction of a new direct air route linking Danang and Dubai via Emirates. The launch of this high-profile connection underscores Central Vietnam’s rising stature as a top-tier golf tourism hotspot.

Beginning June 2, Emirates will operate four non-stop weekly flights between Dubai and Danang, a move poised to significantly boost inbound travel to Vietnam’s central coast. With a journey time of 9 hours and 50 minutes, the route provides seamless access to and from one of the world’s most globally connected aviation hubs—Dubai International Airport, which links to over 260 destinations across six continents.

This launch comes alongside a surge in new and returning air services to Danang. Vietnam Airlines is reinstating its Danang–Osaka route starting July 3 with four flights per week, reinforcing connections with Japan. The carrier has also resumed its Bangkok-Danang service from March 30, operating at the same frequency.

The momentum doesn’t stop there. Air Premia initiated operations between Seoul and Danang in January. Myanmar Airways International is set to commence Yangon flights this April, while South Korea’s Aero K introduced a Cheongju-Danang route in early 2024. Kazakhstan’s Air Astana will begin flying from Almaty to Danang on June 4.

These air travel enhancements are accelerating Danang International Airport’s transformation into a regional hub, strengthening ties with key visitor markets such as Japan, South Korea, China, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Laos. For golf enthusiasts and leisure travelers alike, Vietnam’s central coast is now more accessible than ever.
